Reset a screen design to the system default

Steps to reset a screen-designed page back to the system default layout.

Written by Erica

You can reset a page that has been screen designed and saved back to its system default layout. This removes all customisations for the current object set and restores the original layout for all users on that object set.

🤓 Note: You must have Screen Designer permissions to reset a screen design. If the Reset Screen Design icon is not available, contact your system administrator.

Follow these steps to reset a page to its system default layout.

⚠️ Warning: Resetting a screen design affects all users assigned to the current object set. This action cannot be undone from within Screen Designer, only by reapplying your customisations manually.

  1. Go to the page you want to reset.

  2. Open Screen Designer and make sure the correct Current Object Set is displayed in the toolbar.

  3. Click the Reset Screen Design icon and click OK to confirm. The page reloads and reverts to its original layout.

  4. Click Save to commit the changes, or click Exit to leave Screen Designer without saving.
