Objects are grouped into object sets, which let you have different layouts for the same page. Creating multiple object sets means you can design a screen differently for each role: useful when teams share Core+ but need different fields on common pages. For example, managers may need to see more fields on a Young Person record than an Admin Officer.
You can create multiple object sets by copying and modifying existing ones to build customised Core+ pages. Core+ has a default page layout, and all screen objects have a hard-coded system fallback, so customised layouts can always be reverted to their default.
Object set types
There are two object set types in Screen Designer.
Default Object Set: The initial set of objects supplied with Core+. It is the basis for new customised object sets required by user roles.
Current Object Set: The active object set used to render pages for the logged-in user, based on their role. By default, Screen Designer selects the current object set, which is shown in the Screen Designer toolbar.
