Screen Designer overview

What the Screen Designer does, how to access it, and the toolbar options available.

Written by Erica

The Screen Designer enables System Administrators to customise the Core+ page layout and control which screen objects and fields users can access, based on their Role. For example, you can set which objects and tabs are displayed and how, make fields mandatory, set default values such as today's date, and change the order of screen objects.

Screen Designer is enabled through Roles.

The Screen Designer icon will be disabled if the page isn't designable, for example, a list grid, menus, or the Core+ Homepage, or if your Role doesn't have permission to access the Screen Designer.

  1. From the Quick Links Toolbar, click the Screen Designer icon.

  2. The selected page will open in Screen Designer mode.
