Once your pre-uplift checks are complete, you can run the uplift from the Destination Uplift tab in the Data Management tool. Core+ first calculates the count of records that need uplifting to the next school year. How long this takes depends on the number of young people and destinations in your database.
đ¤ Note: You must have the appropriate permissions to run the Destination School Uplift. Ensure all pre-uplift checks are complete before proceeding.
Follow these steps to start the Destination School Uplift.
Select the Year 11 Transition Start Date from the date picker.
Select the Year 11 Dest. code (Destination code) from the drop-down list.
Click Start Uplift. The job is passed to the Job Runner service, so you can continue working while it completes in the background.
When asked to confirm that you want to begin the Uplift Destination process, click Yes.
How the uplift works
The uplift processes destinations for each school year in the following order:
Year 11 - Year 11 Transition
Year 10 - Year 11
Year 09 - Year 10
Year 08 - Year 09
Year 07 - Year 08
For each record, a new destination record is created with:
The start date set to 1 September of the current year.
The predicted end date set to 31 August of the following year (as shown in the Additional Information section).
The new destination code obtained via the count type.
All other values copied from the current destination.
đ¤ Note: Young people who already have a destination with the new destination code are not included in the uplift.
