Before you start
Confirm you have access to the Data Management tool and the appropriate permissions in the Common Client Information System before completing these checks.
Purpose
Before running the uplift in the Data Management tool, confirm that the destination code recorded against each count type value is correct for each school year. The program uses the count type to get the current destination records to uplift, and the destination code to create the new destination records.
Understanding the destination code columns
Two columns control how the uplift works:
Dest. Code From: shows the destination codes stored against each count type. These are used to get the uplift count.
Dest. Code To: shows the destination code used to create the new school destinations.
What to check before running the uplift
Complete the following checks in order before running the uplift. Each check confirms that the correct values are in place so that the program creates accurate destination records.
Year group and count type values: check the Year Group and Count Type values on the left of the page.
Start date and predicted end date: check the Start Date and Predicted End Date in the Additional Information section, below the Count Type values. These are used as the new start and predicted end dates for the new destination.
Multiple lookup values mapped to one count type: if more than one lookup value is mapped to one of the year group count types, you are prompted to select which To value to use.
Year 11 destinations: Year 11 destinations require two additional checks before you run the uplift.
Select a Year 11 destination lookup from the drop-down list.
Enter a date in the Year 11 Transition Start Date field. This date is used to move young people from Year 11 to the Year 11 transition destination.
đ Note: Year 11 transition destinations have no predicted end date. You can specify a different start date for these destinations before running the program.
