Core+ Configuration: Young Person

You can change configuration options to modify the default behaviour of Core+ to meet your requirements. These are found in the administration menu.

  1. Click Administration, then click Configuration.

  2. Click the Young Person tab.

Warning: Changing the configuration settings can affect users and data within your live Core+ system.

The following options are configurable:

New Young Person

Whether to use a wizard control when creating a new young person record.

Clear search on refine

Select to have the search criteria clear when the user clicks Refine Search.

CCIS Caseload

Enables you to select the Caseload code used for CCIS Primary Caseloading.

Secondary CCIS Caseload

Enables you to select the Caseload code used for CCIS Secondary Caseloading.

Choice Grid Display Mode

Enables you to specify which columns display in the Choices grid.

Intended Destination Grid Display Mode

Enables you to specify which columns to display in the Intended Destinations grid.

Secure Intervention Mode

Enables you to specify whether secure interventions display in lists and are accessible to other users.

On Delete Level Of Need, Re-open Previous

If deleting the current level of need for a young person, this option controls how the system re-opens the previous one.

Use Qualification CRCI

Enables you to specify if CRCI should be used for qualifications, instead of the qualification subject.

On the current destination. Save, update YP status with linked lookup

If creating/updating a young person’s current destination, this setting indicates whether to update the YP Status to match based on the status linked to the destination type.

On Creating or Deleting a Destination, updates YP Statutory School

Enables you to specify if when creating or deleting a destination that is a statutory school, the Young Person's statutory school is updated.

Choices Qualification Level Update

Controls whether NVQ and Academic Level are copied to Choices when changed on the YP basic details page.

Caseload Display FUP Status With Age

Defines if the caseload window should display the FUP Status and expiry columns next to the age.

Add To Caseload: Leaving Code Is Mandatory

Controls whether the Reason for leaving code is mandatory when adding a YP to a caseload from a bookmark when they are already on another primary caseload.

Intended Destination Workflow Count Types

Indicates the count types of intended destination types which fire workflow rule W047 (You have created a new intended destination. Would you like to create a new choice/aspiration?). These should be entered as comma-separated values.

Display the 'Type' column on the 'New Destination' Lookup

Determines whether the 'Type' column is displayed on the 'New Destination' pop-up when a new destination is being created.

Clear Address and Contact Information

Controls whether a Young Person's Address and Contact Information will be cleared if they are deceased. If no value is specified, then the YP's details will NOT be cleared.

Deceased Client Warning Marker Text

The text that is used for the Client Warning Marker when a Young Person is deceased. If no value is specified, then a client warning marker will NOT be done.

Destination Code For Deceased

Defines which destination code represents a deceased destination. If no value is specified, then a new destination to mark the YP as deceased will NOT be done.

Data Protection Type Code for Deceased

Defines which data protection code is used for creating a Data Protection record when a Young Person is deceased. If no value is specified, then a new data protection record to mark the YP as deceased will NOT be done.

Caseload Deceased Reason For Leaving Code

Controls whether a Young Person will be removed from all allocated caseloads when they are deceased. If no value is specified, then a YP will NOT be cleared from all allocated caseloads by setting the reason for leaving code.

Young Person Status Code

Defines which Young Person Status code is used when a Young Person is deceased. If no value is specified, a Young Person status of deceased will NOT be done.

Default YP Search Screen

Defines the default search page that users will be redirected to upon selecting a YP section page without having selected a YP.

YP RONI Score As Percentage

Defines whether the YP RONI score should be displayed as a percentage.

Confirm Destination: Destination Count Type Codes

Indicates the count types of destination codes for which the Review Date should always be editable on the Confirm Destination page. These should be entered as comma-separated values.

Confirm Destination: Destination Count Type Codes used for Status

Indicates the count types of destination codes for which the editing of the Review Date is dependent on the Destination Status value of the destination record. These should be entered as comma-separated values.

Confirm Destination: Destination Status Count Types

Used in conjunction with the above config, this is the list of Destination Status Count Type codes which control allowing users to edit the Review Date. These should be entered as comma-separated values.

YP Warning Data Protection Types

Indicates the data protection type codes, which also trigger and are displayed in the young person warning pop-up.

YP Contract Project Filtering

Controls whether YP Contract Project Lookups are filtered by the Contract (both Contract Project and Project Type).

Forms Young Person Service Name

The name that is used on Young Person forms for the service type, e.g. Connexions Service. If no value is specified, then the forms will bear the text 'Children and Young Person's Service'.

Current YP September Guarantee

Controls whether the Young Person's current September Guarantee is based on the most recent or best offer.

Create LRS Exclude Link for Deceased

Controls whether an LRS Foreign System Exclude link record is created for a YP who is deceased.

Common contact details, check other numbers.

Controls whether common contact details check other numbers besides the young person's mobile number.

Copy previous profile answers:

Config setting to define if users should be allowed to copy answers from a previous profile upon creating a new one, as with CORE. This does not apply to the YOT Core Assessment.

YP Maximum Allowed Age for LRS:

Enables you to specify the YP maximum allowed age when requesting LRS. The minimum age is set to 12 years.

Caseload New Referral screen:

Controls whether the user is taken to the Alt. Referral page from the caseload window instead of the YP Referral page when creating a new referral.

Validate UPN

When selected, this option enables the UPN/UPIN field validation.

Grace Period for September Guarantee / Offer Status

This option controls whether the current September Guarantee / Offer Status should show the current year's September Guarantee data after 30/09 if the Grace Period is set to run after this date.

YP Dedupe Extended Mode

Using the check boxes, select the checks to be used for locating duplicates.
Alias – checks Alias names.
Diminutive – for example, John and Jonathan.
