The User Account Authentication tab within the User Account Details holds information relating to the user's password and memorable word.
Select Users from the Admin menu.
Search for the required User Account.
Double click on the required record or click the Edit icon.
Select the Authentication tab.
The Password Changed field will display the date the user's password was last changed.
The Password Expires field will display the date the password is set to expire.
Select the Change on the next logon check box to force the user in context to change their Password on the next login. For example, a system administrator can set a default password for a new user when saving the record; this option will force them to create a new password.
The Memorable Word Changed field will display the date the user's memorable word was last changed. This field is only applicable if the Memorable Word settings have been applied in Administration, Configuration.
The Memorable Word Expires field will display the date the Memorable Word is set to expire if Memorable Words are in use.
Select the Change on next logon check box to force the user in context to change their Memorable Word on the next login. For example, a system administrator can set a default memorable word for a new user when saving the record; this option will force them to create a new memorable word.
The Login Attempts remaining field displays the number of login attempts remaining; this will decrease each time the user tries to log in with an incorrect password. Clicking the Reset button will return this number to the default setting specified in Admin, Configuration.
Select the Authentication Mode that the user in context will use from the drop-down list.
System Default uses the settings specified in Administration> Configuration.
Authentication forces Core+ to only accept the user's Core+ login details.
Active Directory forces Core+ to only accept the user’s Active Directory login details.
Changing a user's password
To change a user's password, click the Change Password button on the User Account page footer.
The Change Password dialogue will be displayed.
Enter and confirm the new Password.
Using the check boxes, reset the number of login attempts left and reset the user account to Active and force a password change on next login if required.
Click Ok.
Changing a user's Memorable word
To change a user's Memorable word, click the Change Memorable Word button on the User Account page footer.
The Change Memorable Word dialogue will be displayed.
Enter and confirm the new Memorable Word.
Click Ok.
