Youth Justice Count Types

What count types are and why you need to add them so your youth justice information records and reports correctly.

Written by Erica

You use count types to map your local values to the values required for Management Information reporting and system functions. This lets you create local values to use when recording information, without restricting yourself to a set list of values.

⚠️ Important: You need to add all the required count types to your system. Incorrect or incomplete count types may result in your information not returning correctly within your dataset.

To help you set up the correct count types, our count type guide covers the latest Schema 10 Youth Justice Management Information Systems (YJMIS) recording in Core+.
