After the matching step runs, the Match Preview step shows you how the records in your import file have matched to existing Core+ records. From here, you can review match results by status, export match data, resolve any records with multiple matches, and select your import mode before continuing.
The tool matches records in real time and displays a progress bar. When it completes, a match result summary shows the total number of records from your import file, along with totals for unmatched records, single matches, and multiple matches.
Review the matches
Use the quick filter links below the match result summary to review your records by match status.
Click a quick filter link: Unmatched, Single matches, or Multiple matches to filter the records displayed.
Review the highlighted records:
Grey: No action will be taken for this record.
Red: User input is required before the import can continue.
Green: The record is ready to be imported or updated, based on the import mode selected.
Check the Status column for a description of each record's match result, for example, this record needs to be resolved before it can be matched.
Export match data
You can export your match data to a comma-separated values (CSV) file for review outside of Core+. Filter the rows first to control what is included in the export.
Filter the rows you want to export, for example by clicking the Unmatched quick filter.
Click Export. The Additional Export Columns dialog opens.
Select the additional columns to include using the checkboxes, then click OK. The data is exported to a CSV file based on your filtered rows.
Resolve matches
Use this section to resolve records that have multiple matches before continuing with the import.
To resolve all multiple matches at once:
Click Resolve All to match all records that have multiple matches to the first available matching record in Core+. This record will be updated as part of the import.
đ¤ Note: Resolve All only appears if at least one record needs resolving and the Young Person import mode is set to Update or Import and Update.
To resolve a record individually:
Click Resolve on the record's row. The Resolve Match dialog opens.
Review the import file details on the left and the potential Core+ matches on the right, each shown on a separate page.
Click through the potential matches to find the correct Core+ record.
Click Resolve to confirm the match.
Select the import mode
Select the YP import mode that applies to your import. Only one mode can be selected, so check it is correct before proceeding.
Import: Imports new, unmatched Young Person records and does not update existing records. Use when importing a new cohort of young people.
Update: Updates matched records and does not create new ones. Use, for example, when updating destinations for young people that already exist in the database.
Import and Update: Updates existing matched records and imports new unmatched records.
When you have selected the import mode, click Next.
